What are you doing this Christmas : Willing Hearts brings 3000 meal cheer (4/4)

Tis the season to be jolly!
Christmas is just around the corner and while many of us are dreaming of the goodies we hope to have in our Christmas stockings, not everyone will be lucky enough to get to celebrate Christmas.
What exactly is the true spirit of Christmas? Is it only about receiving and giving presents? Or maybe it’s about spending time with your family and friends? Could it be that Christmas is about sharing the joy with the less fortunate? Either way, everyone celebrates Christmas differently.
For some, this is the season of giving and they are determined to spend Christmas by doing something meaningful like volunteering. Why do these volunteers decided to spend their time helping other people? These significant acts are not just for show as they have put in a lot of thought and hard work into what they are doing.
We have a group of students who selflessly gave up their Saturday morning to give out some basic necessities and spend time with the less fortunate. We also have a couple of volunteers who help spread joy to families of inmates by distributing hampers. Along with a couple of other volunteers, the founder of Willing Hearts, Tony Tay, would be cooking a special meal on Christmas day for the less fortunate. These are just some of the army of volunteers who will be volunteering their time.
Like Edna Ferber, an American novelist, once said, “Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a feeling.”
In this special Christmas episode, we also have an acapella group, Acuppuccino, and the Ukulele Assemble to serenade us with a couple of Christmas carols.
Tune in and be inspired by these groups of amazing people who chose to celebrate Christmas in a more meaningful way. It is, after all, the season of goodwill!
